Acquisition expands specialized electrical engineering, construction and maintenance capabilities
for power generation, utility and industrial customers
MidStates Energy Co. LLC today announced the acquisition of SE Energy, LLC, a nationwide specialty
electrical engineering, construction and maintenance company headquartered in Sikeston, Missouri.
With the acquisition, SE Energy will join the MidStates Energy family of companies, bringing
together two organizations with complementary expertise and a shared commitment to safety,
customer service and excellence within the energy industry.
Founded in 2014, SE Energy serves customers in the utility and power generation, transmission and
distribution, and heavy industrial markets. The company provides electrical construction and
engineering, preventive maintenance, emergency response and disaster recovery, commissioning
and startup support, and specialized services for isolated phase bus, non-segregated phase bus,
switchgear and generator neutral bus systems. SE Energy has also developed significant expertise in
modular energy solutions, including prefabricated modular substations, custom e-houses and
control buildings, and solutions for energy storage and challenging substation applications.
SE Energy owners Randy and Jolene Jansen believe the combination represents a natural next step
for the company and its customers.
